Kyle B. Young is a first-year student and Foreign Language Area Studies (FLAS) Fellow in the Latin American Studies M.A. program. In 2020, he graduated from Tulane with a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish/Portuguese. In 2019, he studied Portuguese and Brazilian Politics at the Pontifica Universidade Catolica in São Paulo, Brazil as a FLAS Undergraduate Fellow. His research interests include queer cultural production, international politics and digital activism. He is passionate about art, music, language, and social justice. In his free time, he likes to paint, spend time outdoors, and explore New Orleans. He plans to move forward in a career in critical journalism and media after he completes his studies.
