Joy Olson, former Executive Director (2003-2016) of the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), will be featured at two events on Thursday, September 14, 2017. Ms. Olson will deliver a public lecture on the topic of “Drugs and Human Rights” with a particular emphasis on rethinking enforcement and prosecution across the U.S.-Mexican border. This lecture will take place in 100A Jones Hall (Greenleaf Conference Room) at 12:00pm. Later on in the afternoon, at 5:00pm in the same location, Ms. Olson will lead a workshop on “Careers in Latin America Advocacy.” While the workshop will be oriented primarily towards students, anyone with an interest in the topic is welcome to attend.
