Ana Lopez and Tulane's Cuba programs featured in New Wave

Visiting Cuba gives Tulane University students a chance to see firsthand what others have only read about.

Ana M. López, director of the Cuban and Caribbean Studies Institute, explains that in light last month’s announcement regarding US-Cuban policy changes on the longstanding embargo, students at Tulane University have the opportunity to be a part of a changing culture that many others are reading about.

Currently, Tulane’s CCSI offers undergraduate summer and semester programs in Havana, a two-week public health graduate course, and a brand-new pilot program for graduate students with research interest in Cuba.
