Global Architecture Brigades Lecture

April 18th, 2012
12:00 PM

Location
Tulane University
Richardson Memorial Building, Room 204

Come hear all about the Global Architecture Brigades trip to Honduras. The students have organized a noontime lecture to talk about their involvement in the design competition and their trip to Honduras; we look forward to seeing you there!

A group of our students have started a chapter of Global Architecture Brigades here at Tulane School of Architecture. Global Bridages is a kind of international design build program focusing on sustainable development in a few target countries (Honduras, Ghana, and Panama). This year our students decided to compete against other US universities in a GAB design competition for a health clinic in rural Honduras. Although the Tulane team’s scheme was not chosen by the community, over spring break a group of 17 of our students traveled to Honduras to work for a week on the foundations of the new clinic building.

Admission is free and open to the public. For more information please contact: Lindsey Kiefer, Global Brigades Campus Chairperson at lkiefer@tulane.edu.
