Institutions and Community-Building in New Orleans

In their piece, D.J. Piazza and Charlotte Goudeau explore the role that institutions play in shaping the Latino community in New Orleans. The local Latino community, although substantial in size, is not nearly as well-organized as other communities, putting them at a disadvantage. Through several interviews, Piazza and Goudeau discovered what exactly is standing in the way of a more cohesive Latino community from an institutional perspective. Produced by D.J. Piazza and Charlotte Goudeau. Fall 2011. 5:26.
